A Monthly Wealth Masterclass Series for Chicago Women Leaders
Earn More. Worry Less. Live Fully.
A year from now, you could be the woman who knows exactly what her money is doing - who negotiates without her heart pounding and invests without second-guessing. Not because she got lucky. Because she decided - and then showed up, one Wednesday a month.
Money was never the point. Options are the point - the power to walk away from anything that diminishes you, say yes to the dream, and never again decide from financial fear. HerWealth is where Chicago women leaders build that freedom: one extraordinary speaker, one hour, one challenge a month.
Money is more mental than it is math.

Gail Vaz-Oxlade
Most women were never taught to build wealth on purpose - they were taught to be careful, to be grateful, and to let someone else handle the big decisions. Gail has spent more than three decades undoing that. In this session she shows how women turn the income they already earn into real independence: knowing exactly where every dollar goes, eliminating the debt that quietly taxes every paycheck, and making saving and investing automatic rather than heroic. Expect straight talk, no jargon and no judgment - and a plan you can start the same afternoon.
Born in Jamaica and based in Canada since 1977, Gail Vaz-Oxlade began writing about money in the early 1990s and has since published more than fifteen books, including Debt-Free Forever, Money Rules and It's Your Money: Becoming a Woman of Independent Means. She became one of Canada's best-known financial voices as host of seven seasons of Til Debt Do Us Part, where she called herself a "super nanny for money," then created Princess, a series devoted to helping young women take charge of their finances, followed by Money Moron. Today she writes for Yahoo! Canada Finance and helps couples untangle their finances through Common Sense Divorce.
Shannon McLay
Most money advice treats wealth like a crash diet: cut everything, white-knuckle it, and hope it sticks. Shannon has spent more than a decade proving there is a better way. In this session she shows women how to train their finances the way an athlete trains - set a clear goal, build small habits that compound, measure progress, and get back on track without guilt after a bad month. You will leave with a simple routine for spending, saving, paying down debt and investing that fits your real life, and the confidence that comes from knowing exactly where you stand.
Shannon McLay built her career in finance - selling institutional fixed income at Banc of America Securities, leading business development at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and building a $20 million advisory practice at Merrill Lynch, where she ranked in the top 1% of more than 200 new advisors in the New York market. Seeing that traditional wealth management served mainly people who were already wealthy, she founded The Financial Gym, grew it from concept to clients in all 50 states, and helped more than 15,000 people get financially fit through one-on-one coaching. Today she leads Collective Wellness Revival, a company built around four houses of wellness - physical, mental, financial and spiritual. She is a cum laude business graduate of Wake Forest University.

Nora Yousif
Financial empowerment is not a feeling - it is a sequence of decisions, made in the right order. Nora walks through the moves that compound most for professional women: what to do with a raise before it quietly disappears, how to weigh equity, risk and protection at each stage of a career, and how to build a plan sturdy enough to survive a windfall, a divorce or a pivot. You will leave able to read your own numbers with confidence, ask sharper questions of anyone managing your money, and name the next three things worth doing.
Nora Yousif is a Managing Director Financial Advisor of the EmpowHER House Financial Group at RBC Wealth Management helping her clients, particularly women, make smarter decisions when it comes to their wealth planning and investments. In addition to working one-on-one with clients, she has keynoted and presented on personal finance and investments to over 400 organizations including Mass General Brigham, Harvard Business School, the IRS, National Conference for Women, and countless private companies. Nora is a frequent commentator on TV for Bloomberg, Fox Business, Channel 5, NBC Boston, CBS News, and Yahoo Finance. She received her MBA from MIT Sloan, having been immersed with some of the brightest minds in the world of finance.
Shannah Game
Shannah is the CFP® who talks about money and feelings - and 28 million podcast downloads say she is onto something. Host of Everyone's Talkin' Money, named a top-4 money podcast by The New York Times, and author of Unraveling Your Relationship with Money, Shannah has spent two decades proving that money success is 90 percent mental. She opens our season by dismantling the money shame and invisible rules that keep even the smartest women feeling behind - and showing you how to build wealth unapologetically, on your own terms.
In this opening session, Shannah unpacks why the feeling of being behind rarely matches the numbers - and why the smartest, highest-achieving women are often the hardest on themselves about money. You will leave knowing how to spot the inherited money rules quietly running your decisions, how to replace financial shame with a plan you trust, and why the confidence gap, not the knowledge gap, is what actually costs women wealth. It is the perfect on-ramp to the season: the mindset reset that every strategy the following months build on.

A room of women who get it
Hundreds of Chicago women leaders, asking the same questions - where talking about money becomes normal, and so does having more of it.
A year from now, you will be somewhere. The only question is whether your money will have moved with you. There is a version of you who blocked the hour - who invests without flinching and negotiates without apologizing. She is not smarter or luckier than you. She just started.
The wealthy women you admire do not dream about money. They plan it. Your plan starts with one hour - and one challenge.
I never dreamed about success. I worked for it.
